A Practice Note setting out the key issues counsel must consider before noticing the deposition of a party or non-party in Ohio state court litigation under Ohio Civil Rule (Ohio Civ. R.) 30. Specifically, this Note explains who may be deposed, when depositions may be noticed, when leave of court is required to take a deposition, where the deposition may take place, and how to prepare and serve the notice of deposition.
