This Legal Update reports on significant changes to the local civil and criminal rules and procedures for all US federal district courts and appellate courts between November 4 and 10, 2015. It also reports on changes to the individual civil and criminal practice rules for the judges in select district courts during this period.
Second Circuit
Eastern District of New York
The US District Court for the Eastern District of New York updated its attorney admission application form to reflect that applicants should enter their bar registration numbers for each state bar in which they are a member in good standing.

The US District Court for the Northern District of New York issued General Order #55 regarding miscellaneous matters assigned to the chief judge.
Southern District of New York

The US District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina issued Standing Order 15-SO-3 regarding amendments to its local civil and criminal rules of practice and procedure, which go into effect on December 1, 2015.

Judge Otis D. Wright II updated his judges’ procedures and schedules to reflect changes regarding mandatory chambers copies and ex parte applications.
