US General Services Administration

The US General Services Administration released new privately owned vehicle mileage reimbursement rates, effective January 1, 2016.

Federal Circuit

Federal Circuit Court of Appeals

The US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit amended Federal Circuit Rules of Practice 28(a)(11) and 28(f), and added Rule 30(b)(4)(E). These rules shall apply to all appeals docketed on or after January 4, 2016.

Second Circuit

Eastern District of New York

Judge Edward R. Korman updated his individual motion practices. A copy of the previous version is available here.

Northern District of New York

The US District Court for the Northern District of New York revised its local rules. A copy of the previous version is available here.

Southern District of New York

Judge Ronnie Abrams updated her:

Western District of New York

The US District Court for the Western District of New York updated its local rules of civil procedure and local rules of criminal procedure, and included a summary of the proposed amendments.

Fourth Circuit

District of Maryland

The US District Court for the District of Maryland posted a new fee schedule, effective January 1, 2016.

Fifth Circuit

Middle District of Louisiana

The US District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana:
  • Updated its attorney admission requirements, reducing the admission fee for new petitioners.
  • Posted general order No. 2016-02, regarding assignment of pending Magistrate Judge Stephen C. Riedlinger cases.
  • Posted general order No. 2016-03, regarding assignment of cases filed in the district.

Southern District of Texas

The US District Court for the Southern District of Texas posted general order 2015-13, regarding the division of work and judicial assignments in 2016.

Sixth Circuit

Eastern District of Michigan

The US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan amended Local Rule 1.3, Availability of the Local Rules, making the amended local rules available online.

Southern District of Ohio

The US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio revised its local rules, and included a redline of the amendments.

Seventh Circuit

Northern District of Illinois

The US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois posted general orders:
  • 15-0020, regarding proper identification to enter court facilities in the district.
  • 15-0030, regarding a technical amendment to Local Rule 77.2, Emergencies; Emergency Judges.
  • 15-0031, regarding a technical amendment to Local Rule 81.3, Habeas Corpus Proceedings by Persons in Custody.
  • 15-0032, appointing Judge Maria Valdez as Presiding Magistrate Judge for a period of two years, effective January 26, 2016.

Southern District of Illinois

The US District Court for the Southern District of Illinois posted Administrative Order No. 180, revising certain attorneys' fees, effective January 1, 2016.

Southern District of Indiana

The US District Court for the Southern District of Indiana:
  • Revised its local rules and posted a summary of the amendments.
  • Posted a new fee schedule, increasing attorney fees for admission to practice and for a pro hac vice motion.

Eighth Circuit

Eastern District of Missouri

The US District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri revised its local rules, and posted a redline and a summary of the amendments.

District of North Dakota

The US District Court for the District of North Dakota revised its local rules and posted a summary of the amendments.

Ninth Circuit

Central District of California

The US District Court for the Central District of California updated its form request for attorney admission information.
Judge Beverly Reid O'Connell updated her judges’ procedures and schedules, revising preferences for under seal filings.
Judge Otis D. Wright II updated his:
Magistrate Judge Rozella A. Oliver updated her judges’ procedures and schedules, revising preferences for under seal filings.
Magistrate Judge Suzanne H. Segal updated her judges’ procedures and schedules, revising preferences for under seal filings.

District of Idaho
