Uniform Motion Calendar (UMC)

A term used in Florida state court litigation to refer to a block of time made available by a judge to conduct routine hearings that require approximately five minutes or less. A judge usually conducts several hearings arising in different cases during the same Uniform Motion Calendar (UMC). The judge's individual website typically posts the specific procedures for noticing a hearing on the judge's Uniform Motion Calendar.
Hearings requiring more than five minutes should be set on the judge's special set hearing calendar.
