A system of electricity trading between
generators
and
electricity suppliers
in the
electricity wholesale market
under which generators sell to, and suppliers buy from, a central counterparty. Under an electricity pool, generators compete with each other to sell to the pool. The Electricity Pool of England & Wales (also known as the Pool) was replaced in 2001 by the
