Three agreements for US public company acquisitions with a deal value of $100 million or more were filed this past week.
On March 10, 2016, Midland Financial Co. agreed to acquire bank holding company 1st Century Bancshares, Inc. in an all-cash transaction valued at $115.98 million.
On March 11, 2016, an affiliate of Apollo Global Management, LLC agreed to acquire specialty grocery retailer The Fresh Market, Inc. in an all-cash tender offer valued at approximately $1.36 billion.
On March 16, 2016, Coherent, Inc. agreed to acquire laser technology developer and manufacturer Rofin-Sinar Technologies Inc. in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $942 million.
