A Practice Note explaining how the arbitrator conducts a US-seated arbitration hearing under the rules such as those of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), JAMS, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR). This Note describes the procedural decisions the arbitrator may make before, during, and at the end of the hearing to help ensure an efficient arbitration proceeding.
