Fuel mix disclosure obligation (FMD obligation)

The requirement on all electricity suppliers in Great Britain to disclose to their customers, and potential customers, the mix of fuels used to generate the electricity supplied annually under licence conditions inserted by the Electricity (Fuel Mix Disclosure) Regulations 2005 (SI 2005/391) (Standard Licence Condition 21). The FMD obligation derived from EU legislation and can be met by presenting Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGOs).
