Fuel mix disclosure obligation (FMD obligation)
The requirement on all
electricity suppliers
in Great Britain to disclose to their customers, and potential customers, the mix of fuels used to generate the electricity supplied annually under licence conditions inserted by the
Electricity (Fuel Mix Disclosure) Regulations 2005 (SI 2005/391)
(Standard Licence Condition 21). The FMD obligation derived from EU legislation and can be met by presenting
Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin
(REGOs).
