Two agreements for US public company acquisitions with a deal value of $100 million or more were filed this past week.
On April 4, 2016, Westfield Financial, Inc. agreed to acquire bank holding company Chicopee Bancorp, Inc. in an all-stock transaction valued at approximately $110 million at signing.
On April 7, 2016, Corning Incorporated agreed to acquire optical component manufacturer Alliance Fiber Optic Products, Inc. in an all-cash tender offer valued at approximately $305 million.
