Uniform Network Code (UNC)
As used for gas, the code that sets out the common terms of the transportation arrangements between licensed
gas transporters
and
gas shippers
, as required by standard condition B9 of the gas transporters licence. Each licensed gas transporter must have its own network code that incorporates the term of the UNC, and governs the terms under which it will transport gas on behalf of a gas shipper.
Independent gas transporters
(iGTs) have their own uniform network code called the iGT Uniform Network Code. For more information see
