US Supreme Court

The Supreme Court adopted the following rule amendments and transmitted them to Congress on April 28, 2016:

Southern District of New York

The US District Court for the Southern District of New York posted standing order No. 16-Misc-168, regarding local criminal rule 58.1.

The US District Court for the Western District of Texas posted a new standing order regarding sealing of warrants.

Eastern District of Michigan

The US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan has updated its local rules and electronic filing policies and procedures, effective May 1, 2016. The court posted a notice and redline of the changes to both the local rules and the electronic filing policies and procedures.

Seventh Circuit

Northern District of Illinois

Judge Jorge L. Alonso updated his case procedures for protective orders, revising requirements on the subject line for emailed requests of proposed orders.
Judge Thomas M. Durkin posted a notice regarding extensions of procedural deadlines.

Ninth Circuit

Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals

The US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit updated its manual of model civil jury instructions. A copy of the previous version is available here.

Central District of California

The US District Court for the Central District of California updated its application for a nonresident attorney to appear in a specific case pro hac vice.
Judge R. Gary Klausner updated his order for court trial. A copy of the previous version is available here.
Judge Beverly Reid O'Connell updated her judges' procedures and schedules, posting a new joint deposition designation submission.

Northern District of California

The US District Court for the Northern District of California updated its instructions for completing ADR forms for selection of an ADR process.

Tenth Circuit

Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals

The US Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit has approved changes to local rule 34.1(A)(3) regarding when and in what form motions to postpone oral argument must be submitted. The changes take effect May 9, 2016, and will apply to calendars held after that date.
