A Practice Note explaining how to enforce arbitral awards in Illinois, including procedural considerations and the grounds on which a party may challenge enforcement under federal and Illinois law. This Note examines the New York Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards, the Federal Arbitration Act (FAA), and the Illinois Uniform Arbitration Act (IUAA). This Note also briefly explains the procedure for vacating, modifying, or correcting an arbitral award.
