A Practice Note explaining how to enforce arbitral awards in Georgia state and federal courts. This Note explains the procedure for confirming an arbitration award in Georgia and the grounds on which a party may challenge enforcement under Georgia and federal law, including the New York Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards, the Federal Arbitration Act (FAA), and Georgia arbitration law. This Note also briefly explains the procedure for vacating, modifying, or correcting an arbitral award in Georgia.
