Four agreements for US public company acquisitions with a deal value of $100 million or more were filed this past week.
On September 7, 2016, Google Inc. agreed to acquire application program interface (API) platform provider Apigee Corporation in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $625 million.
On September 12, 2016, Horizon Pharma plc agreed to acquire biopharmaceutical company Raptor Pharmaceutical Corp. in an all-cash tender offer valued at approximately $800 million.
On September 12, 2016, Renesas Electronics Corporation agreed to acquire semiconductor manufacturer Intersil Corporation in an all-cash transaction valued at $3 billion (or $3.2 billion equity value).
On September 13, 2016, Allergan plc agreed to acquire clinical-stage biotechnology company Vitae Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in an all-cash tender offer valued at approximately $639 million.
