This October, Practical Law China has expanded its employment coverage with the publication of Practice note, Sick leave management in China and Standard clause, Employee handbook: childbirth-related leave policy. The former provides an overview of employees' sick leave entitlements under Chinese employment law and the latter is a template policy on childbirth-related leave (for example, maternity leave and paternal leave) for employees based in China that can be incorporated into a staff handbook.
For the real estate practice area, we have published Practice note, Entering into a lease agreement in China. This note addresses various legal issues in connection with lease agreements for real properties under Chinese law.
In addition, we have strengthened our bilingual content with the publication of seven Chinese language standard documents and standard clauses for the bribery and corruption toolkit (see Chinese language version).
As usual, we have published our regular monthly roundup of key items for general counsel, GC Agenda China (see Article, GC Agenda China: October 2016) and separate legal updates for important legal and practical developments in this month (see Legal updates) and have updated a number of materials in the light of recent developments (see Maintenance).
