Employers may implement a smoke-free workplace policy to protect employees from exposure to secondhand smoke. This policy can be incorporated into an employee handbook or used as a stand-alone policy document. This Standard Document is based on Louisiana law and includes references to the Smokefree Air Act (SAA). It is intended for use by private employers.
