This Legal Update reports on significant changes to the local civil and criminal rules and procedures for all US federal district courts and appellate courts between January 11-17, 2017. It also reports on changes to the individual civil and criminal practice rules for the judges in select district courts during this period.

Northern District of New York

The US District Court for the Northern District of New York entered a general order regarding its case assignment plan.

Southern District of New York

Judge Vernon S. Broderick revised his:

Northern District of Illinois

Judge Michael T. Mason revised his case procedures regarding initial status conferences.

Western District of Wisconsin

The US District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin posted a new case party information sheet.

Judge Valerie B. Fairbank revised her judge’s procedures regarding ex parte applications.
