Two agreements for US public company acquisitions with a deal value of $100 million or more were filed this past week.
On February 2, 2017, Veeco Instruments Inc. agreed to acquire technology manufacturing systems company Ultratech, Inc. in a cash-and-stock transaction valued at approximately $815 million at signing.
On February 6, 2017, First Busey Corporation agreed to acquire bank holding company First Community Financial Partners, Inc. in a cash-and-stock transaction valued at approximately $235.8 million at signing.
