Two agreements for US public company acquisitions with a deal value of $100 million or more were filed this past week.
On March 6, 2017, Sterling Bancorp agreed to acquire bank holding company Astoria Financial Corporation in an all-stock transaction valued at approximately $2.2 billion at signing.
On March 14, 2017, American Securities LLC agreed to acquire air medical transportation company Air Methods Corporation in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $2.5 billion, including net debt.
